BTS member J-Hope recently sat down with Zane Lowe for an in-depth interview about his life as an idol and more. The idol talked about his time in the military and shared intimate details with fans during the interview. He shared that “It’s a different experience. Also, in reality, I’ve learnt a different life. And in many ways, I got to meet people from all walks of life, and I received a lot of good energy.”

He shared that “I was raised strictly because my dad was a teacher. But now, more than anyone, he has been very supportive. 'Oh, I'm so proud of what you're doing. I'm always thinking about how I'll be your No. 1 supporter as a father’.”

The most heartfelt and touching moment of the interview came when J-Hope started talking about and addressing the popular phrase 'BTS paved the way'. The phrase has been used by ARMYs time and time again online as an ode to their legacy in the music industry.
The singer expressed gratitude towards everything and shared that “I'm very flattered that I was able to play a significant role in K-pop,” he shared. “Every time I hear things like that, it gives me a sense of responsibility. If that helps pave the way for other K-pop artists to shine in a positive light, I would be most honoured, happy, and proud of myself.”
He also added to the statement, saying that “I don’t consider myself solely responsible for K-pop’s rise. It’s the teamwork, our fans, and every artist who’s come before us that paved the way.”
