Telugu actor Allu Arjun, who was taken to Chanchalguda Central Jail in Telangana on Friday following a stampede at the premiere of his movie Pushpa 2, had a simple meal for dinner while in custody.
A senior official from the Telangana prisons department shared that Allu Arjun was given a basic meal of rice and vegetable curry while in custody. The actor did not ask for any special treatment from the jail authorities.
Allu Arjun was kept in a separate section of Chanchalguda Central Prison, along with other accused in the case, according to a senior prison official. He had a simple meal of rice and vegetable curry.

As per court instructions, Allu Arjun was treated as a special class prisoner during his time in custody. This classification includes provisions like a cot, table, and chair for comfort.
According to a senior official from the Telangana prisons department, Allu Arjun appeared normal during his time in custody and did not seem depressed. He was served rice and vegetable curry, as is typical during dinner time at 5:30 pm, with late admissions also being provided food. Following the court’s order, he was treated as a special class prisoner, with provisions like a cot, table, and chair.

Allu Arjun's time in prison was short-lived. On Saturday, the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail, and he was released later that day.

In the tragic stampede incident, a 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her eight-year-old son was injured during a chaotic gathering of fans at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4. The crowd had gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule
After the tragic stampede, the Hyderabad city police filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. The case was registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Chikkadpally police station, based on a complaint lodged by the family of the woman who passed away in the incident.
